Q: What's up with the cats?

A: We currently have six full-time resident cats (Buster, Lily, Screamer, Myrtle, Pepperjack and James). This means they live in the shop 24/7 and aren't available for adoption. They're usually open to attention from humans but may hide in one of their many private spots during peak customer hours. All we ask from our visitors is to respect their boundaries by not chasing them or picking them up.  

 

Q: Why are the books you have online different from what you have in-store?

A: The books we sell online are more expensive for one reason or another - they may be rare or out of print, signed or a first edition, or unique in some other way. There is overlap between our online inventory and what we have in our rare/collectible cases, but we have much more online than we do viewable in-store. Q: How do I sell you my books?

A: If you are looking to sell books for cash and have more than 2 bags or boxes we require an appointment to be made in advance. This can be done by contacting us through phone or email. Walk-ins are available for cash sales of less than 2 bags or boxes between 11:30 and 4:30 on weekdays. We can run out of cash to pay out on any given day so we cannot guarantee walk-in availability at any time. Please also note that we never pay out cash for books on weekends.

We give store credit for books everyday from 11:30 to 7. However, appointments have priority over walk-ins and we still have to be available to help customers, so be prepared for a potential wait.
